Dr. Macey McAleer
Optometrist
After graduating in 2007 from New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA, Dr. McAleer spent a year in residency where she was exposed to a broad variety of ocular conditions. Diabetes, glaucoma, AMD and cataracts were most common. At this VA medical center she was responsible for all of the ER emergencies which were usually acute trauma, post-operative complications or unexplained acute vision loss. She performed low vision exams, compensation and pension exams and specialty contact lens fittings along with routine eye care.

Following completion she practiced the next several years in retail optometry, spent four years as the optometrist on MacDill Airforce Base for all active duty military members and also time in private practice.
In 2016 she opened her own independent practice within Target Optical and has been happily growing that practice since.
After several years of gathering invaluable medical and business knowledge, Dr. McAleer is ready to offer her patients a full-service private practice with services for all her patient's needs from medical care to beautiful frames and premium contact lens selections.
